Runnels CAD is looking for an appraiser to help us serve the taxpayers and taxing entities of Runnels County. We are a political subdivision that provides valuation services for ad valorem tax purposes. Our office administers exemptions to help lower property taxes and performs data collection and analysis to determine what properties in the county are worth (market value) so they can be taxed uniformly and fairly.
Prospective candidates must have their own vehicle available for field work and should be reliable, self-motivated, flexible, and a team player. This is a small office and we rely on each other to navigate the challenges and complexities of the property tax system.
On-the-job training will be provided, along with formal classes for those who don’t yet have the necessary licensure (RPA). We have good benefits, including merit-based salaries while in training and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
